Foundations of a Faithful Family
God's Divine Design
Presenter: Clay Gill
Before one can Rise Up & Build, we must begin with a blueprint that clearly articulates the vision for what we are building. We will focus on the concepts of what makes a solid foundation, the functions of a Godly family, and how to fortify what you build. God has laid out for us, through His Word, the blueprint for the family and during this presentation, we will focus on unpacking these key concepts. The Divine Design of God’s ordained-institution of the family will be the starting point for all of the additional content presented throughout the entire 2023 Faithful Family Conference.
Functions of a Faithful Family
Demo Day or Finishing Touches
Presenter: John & Stacie Norman
The key to any healthy relationship is good communication. This workshop will provide the tools needed to build effective communication in all types of relationships. This will include topics such as active listening, listening to understand, speaking the truth in love, communicating without words, and putting a stop to corrupt communication. Participants will leave with a communication model that can be used to address difficult conversations with grace and understanding and enhance communication between couples, parents and children, siblings, co-workers, and friends.
Family Worship 101: Raising the Roof Together
Presenter: Ryan & Jessica Lamb
The Family is made by God and for God. Worship is to be central to the family as individuals and as a whole. This workshop focuses on the importance and the priority of family worship. Should families worship together at home? How should families worship at home? We are going to examine what the Bible has to say about how good shepherds lead their lambs and sheep together into green pastures, focusing on the following: Families worship through Scripture. Families worship through singing. Families worship through prayer. With a plan in place, the family can raise a roof together for generations to come.
fortifying the Faithful Family
Guarding Your Heart
Presenter: Logan Lanier and April Mitchell
Healthy boundaries build safety, stability, and support in relationships. They bring freedom and identity to our relationships by defining ourselves from others. This workshop focuses on defining healthy boundaries from a biblical perspective. Participants will learn to identify common boundary conflicts found in relationships and practical ways to implement these tools in relationships.
Presenter: Jordan and Brooke Russell
It is God’s desire for us to be at peace with all men (Romans 12:18). However, there are times when it seems that that end is not possible. The good news for us is that God has established a plumb line to help keep ourselves and others headed toward harmony with one another. It is first of utmost importance that we keep our eyes on him and grow in our relationship with our Father. Keeping the focus on him and shoring up our own foundation in him, will help us to have his joy and peace through any difficulties or trials that arise. We all have our limits and establishing boundaries to protect ourselves and others in difficult situations is vital. We are called to live in freedom but don’t want to
allow that freedom to allow an opportunity for the flesh (Gal 5:13). Establishing structure and firewalls around these difficult relationships will protect all involved from the flesh and will allow us to overcome what could be used for evil with good (Rom 12:21).
Teen Track Workshops
Building Identity in Christ
The world, the flesh and the devil are on a mission to create a distorted identity in our children and teens. To counter that, they must understand that each of them were created in His image. This workshop will help teens construct their true identity in Christ.
Building Christian Character
Today’s culture depicts appearance, fame, and popularity as the highlight of character and worth. As Christians, we are not raising our teens to be American Idols but rather men and women of God who are Kingdom Heroes. In this workshop, teens will learn Christian characteristics such as honesty, integrity, and truth to help them build a firm foundation for their future.
Building Christian Purpose
Where am I going and how do I get there? In this workshop, teens will learn the Architects design and purpose for their lives and give them a blueprint for spiritual growth.
