Professional Counselor at Cord of Three
My heart is pounding so fast, I can hear it in my ears. I’m sweating profusely, and all I can think is, “Am I really about to do this?”. I walk in the two heavy, metal doors before I can chicken out. I state my name to the lady at the front desk and say, “I’m here to surrender myself for my crimes.” Instantly I feel something odd sweep over me, I think its relief mixed with joy and peace. What is this about?
Just like the fictional character in the story above, you too may find yourself on the run. You may be hanging on to what little rope you have left, or you may have recognized that you need to surrender. The act of surrendering, is about realizing that we need help, we need a savior because we are desperately broken. In order to surrender to the only savior and be healed from your brokenness in your pursuit of wholeness as a child of God, you need to PRAY and SEEK Jesus.
